20 February - Five Minutes’ Silence at Finnish Construction Sites
Last year five workers died as a result of occupational accidents at Finnish construction workplaces. Building sites are still the most dangerous workplaces in Finland. However, all the fatal accidents could have been avoided. Every one of them could have been prevented by investing in occupational safety.

Rakennusliitto, the Finnish construction workers’ trade union, an EFBWW affiliate, is organising five minutes’ silence on all construction sites in Finland at 1 p.m. on Monday, 20 February in memory of the construction workers it has lost as a result of accidents.
